The fire hazard in eastern Manitoba has been upgraded to extreme.
Tom Mirus is manager of the Manitoba Conservation Fire Program says the region needs a good soaking rain.
A few showers will only help for a day.
Also, daytime campfires are prohibited at all Provincial Parks in the Whiteshell as well as Birds Hill and Grand Beach Provincial Parks.
The area has over 100 firefighters scattered throughout the region, along with 10 helicopters, 6 water bombers, and 4 other aircraft flying in supplies.
