The Central Regional Health Authority wants to put a master plan together to deal with increasing pressures on health care services in the Sourthern part of the R.H.A.

Acting C.E.O. Helmuth Klassen says significant population growth in the Morden/Winkler area is impacting medical services at all their health care facilties.

Klassen notes the area needs some significant capital investment in such things as care homes, palliative care, cancer care programs, and surgical programs.

He says more funding is becoming available for these projects but not enough to put them in the clear.

Klassen says this is a project  the R.H.A. will need to engage local communities to deal with the situation as team.
