A grassroots producer group with representation from all three Prairie provinces is the latest organization to throw its support behind the Wheat Board.

Real Voice for Choice is for the single desk selling of wheat and barley, plus it wants a plebiscite to decide the future of the C.W.B.

Manitoba Co-Chair Larry Bohdanovich says farmer's democratic rights have been ignored as the Tories push towards marketing choice.

He adds this fact has not been missed by producers in Eastern Canada where some groups are now voicing concerns over what could happen to supply management if changes are made to the Board by way of a non-transparent process.

Bohdanovich says Real Voice for Choice will be discussing their concerns with local M.P.'s, plus the provincial governments.

He adds they are also planning on holding several awareness sessions for growers.
