With the Central R.H.A. expecting to unroll H1N1 pandemic immunization clinics next month, it's using a seasonal flu clinic in Winkler as a test run.

Medical Officer of Health Dr. Shelley Buchan says the clinic at Winkler Emmanuel Mennonite Church will allow the R.H.A. to test its mass clinic procedures and fine tune them if need be.

Being held today and tomorrow, Buchan invites eligible residents from Winkler, Morden, Roland, and Plum Coulee to take part.

She hopes to immunize 1,500 people.

In an average year over 15,000 people in the Central R.H.A. receive a seasonal flu shot.

It's expected the R.H.A. needs to be prepared to vaccinate up to 75,000 people with the H1N1 shot.
