R.M. of Rhineland council presented it's new budget to the public last night.

C.A.O. Mike Remple says they are looking at a 3.5 milliond dollar budget, up from 3.4 million  last year.

This means rate payers can expect a 4.22%  increase in their tax bill, which translates to an $86 increase for a home assessed at $135,000.

Remple notes the average assessment increase in the R.M. was 35%, including commercial, residential, and farm land.
