The Morden Bombers, Carman Beavers, Notre Dame Hawks and Red River Wild were winners in the SEMHL Saturday night. Andrew Clark had two goals and an assist as the Bombers beat the Winkler Royals 4-1. Scott Atkins scored twice and Ben Dalke had a goal and two assists as the Beavers shaded the Mercs 3-2 in Warren. Daniel Wenham made 54 saves in net for Carman. Eli Carels had three goals and two assists and Chris Lesage made 41 saves as the Hawks blanked the Altona Maroons 11-0 at Sunflower Gardens. Paul Remillard had two goals and two assists as the Wild defeated the first place Ste. Anne Aces 7-5.


The Pembina Valley Hawks dropped a 5-3 decision to the Winnipeg Thrashers in Morris. Haiden Friesen had a pair of power play goals for the Hawks. Lane Apperley had the other Pembina Valley goal.


The Brandon Wheat Kings were outshot 41-30 by Red Deer and lost 5-3 to the Rebels. Nolan Flamand, Rylen Roersma and Brett Hyland with his 25th of the season did the goal scoring for the Wheat Kings who wrap up their three-game Alberta road trip Sunday against the Edmonton Oil Kings.


The Winnipeg Jets have lost three games in a row for the first time since late November. The Toronto Maple Leafs scored three third period goals and defeated Winnipeg 4-2 at Canada Life Centre. Dylan Samberg and Mason Appleton did the goal scoring for the Jets. Auston Matthews potted his 40th of the season for the Leafs. Winnipeg heads into the All-Star break with a 30-12-5 record.


The Manitoba Moose snapped their 11 game losing skid in Rockford. Simon Lundmark, Kristian Reichel, Parker Ford, Jeffrey Viel and Ville Heinola did the goal scoring for the Moose. Kyle Capobianco chipped in with three assists.


Montreal and Boston were winners in the PWHL Saturday night. Maureen Murphy scored 3:30 into overtime to lift Montreal past Ottawa 3-2. Hilary Knight scored her first goal of the season 52 seconds into OT as Boston beat Minnesota 4-3.
