100 years of history has been integrated onto the stage.

Richard Klassen of Oak Valley Productions wrote and directed Miene Schtaud Winkler.

He says they listened to stories about the relationships of churches and people throughout the century and put that into the Low German play.

Klassen says a few challenges they came across were putting 100 years of history into a play, translating it from English to Low German and finding actors for the summer.

The play is based around two families that meet on the farm and one family experiences financial difficulties and decides to move to the city.

When the kids begin to contemplate marriage a bit of controversy starts to arise.
