Pembina Valley Humane Society's (PVHS) Step for Pets Walkathon will happen on June 22. Holly Thorne is with the PVHS, and excited about this event. She says it’s always fun and represents the beginning of summer.

“We're really excited about this because it is our 14th Steps for Pets Walkathon. It came out of the fact that we needed a new building [14 years ago]. It was decided we needed a bigger space. We started a fundraiser, which was the Steps for Pets Walkathon, and it's just been great”.

Thorne says the impact of the walkathon has been insurmountable, and the support of the community has been deeply felt by PVHS.

If you have not attended PVHS Walkathon, you are in for a treat, says Thorne, “It's like a throng of people and dogs, and tails wagging. Lots of people dress their dogs up and it's really quite the spectacle to see.”
