Two people from Emerson were arrested Friday night after initially fleeing from RCMP in a stolen vehicle.  
    
Shortly after 9 p.m., officers attempted to pull over a vehicle near Road 2N in the Municipality of Montcalm. According to RCMP, the license plate was unregistered, and further checks revealed it was stolen. However, the driver refused to stop, and fled instead.
    
Patrols in the area spotted the vehicle heading south on Road 6E, where it stopped at the end and the driver got out. 
    
Following a search of the vehicle, RCMP seized methamphetamine, ammunition, a knife, illicit tobacco, tools and ID belonging to someone else. 
    
Dylan Slaunwhite, 27, of Emerson has been charged with Possession of Methamphetamine, Flight from Peace Officer, Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime x2 and Fail to Comply. He was remanded into custody.

The passenger, a 39-year-old female from Emerson, is facing charges of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime and Possession of Methamphetamine. She was released from custody with an upcoming court date.
