The Winkler Community Foundation (WCF) has now been in its new office space at 2-880L15th Street for a little over two months, and staff are settling in nicely.

Executive Director Myra Peters noted they moved in November 1st, and the intent is for this to be a long-term space for the organization, which it is sharing with Winkler Stanley Economic Development Corporation (WSEDC).

"We have a front office space, as well as a boardroom and office with meeting space for myself," she explained. "It's a nice location, visible off 15th Street, and definitely a great space for the Foundation to grow in."

The Foundation had previously shared an office with the Winkler and District Chamber of Commerce in the Winkler Civic Centre. With the City making the decision to turn that area into staff office space, the Foundation was in the market for a new location, with WSEDC their new roommates.

"We can share the boardroom and some of the general spaces, so it's definitely helpful for cost efficiency," noted Peters. "We do miss our shared space with the Winkler Chamber of Commerce, definitely a good group to be working with, and we'll continue the relationship with them. We had different decisions when we were looking at office space and what we needed and wanted to each of our offices."

The Foundation office had been in the Civic Centre since 2007.
