Winkler Golf Course Unaffected By Heat

The recent hot spell has not had too much of an effect on conditions at the Winkler Centennial Golf Club.

Pro Greg Hessom says the course is still in excellent condition.

Hessom says however, they have done some hand watering of fairways and tee boxes on the really hot days.

Hessom says walk-up tee times have dropped slightly since the beginning of the month because of the weather.

He says people are starting to come out earlier and later in the day, rather than golf during the mid-day heat.
