Winkler Police Service seized over $3,000 in cocaine, and arrested two local male suspects yesterday after a three month long trafficking investigation.

At approximately 4:00 p.m Monday, investigators stopped a vehicle on the Walmart parking lot in Winkler, and with assistances from the Morden Police Service took the two occupants into custody.

A search of the vehicle resulted in the seizure of a quantity of cash, and approximately 38 grams of cocaine with, an estimated street value of $3,040.

As a result of the investigation, a 21-year-old male of Blumenort, and a 16-year-old male of Rural Winkler will be charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking and possession of proceeds of crime. Both were released on Undertakings to appear in Morden Provincial Court later this year.
