After more than a decade, the reality of seeing PTH 32 reconstructed is nearly here. The tender for Highway 32 reconstruction and twinning has been publicly posted and closes April 2.

Morden-Winkler MLA Cameron Friesen explains the Provincial government's 2020 budget includes millions of more dollars for highway infrastructure projects and PTH 32 has been made a priority.

"Every effort will be made to adjudicate the bids in a timely way and proceed to construction as quickly as possible," Friesen says.

The area to be twinned runs from Norquay to Victoria Ave. and includes a new signal and intersection at Mountain Ave. and a new walkway on the east side of the road.

Friesen adds the project is proceeding according to schedule and remains a critical investment for the City of Winkler and the entire Pembina Valley.
