Beaver pelts will be the new currency at Stanley Park this weekend.

That's the site of the 10th Annual Pembina Valley Rendezvous and Trade Fair.

President Ike Klassen says the event will feature flint knapping and trapping and skinning demonstrations.

Klassen says outdoor events include black powder shooting, archery competition, tomahawk and knife throwing, and a 22 rifle competition.

He says musical entertainers will include Anderson & Company and Mountain City.

There will be gospel music all Sunday morning as well.

Klassen says there is no charge for admission and all of the events are free to watch.
