Every business begins with an entrepreneur identifying a need in their community, and in the case of Travis Froese owner of Total Mechanical & Plumbing in Winkler, it was relationship building which was the seed which grew into the HVAC and plumbing business located at 510 Norland Drive.

"With my past experience, I saw there was a need for building relationships between the customer and contractor," explained Froese. "Every conversation is important, and I wanted to focus more on building those relationships where we all feel like we are part of a family, the #Totalmpfamily."

He started in the trade in 2007, and has been a Journeyman for twelve years, specializing in residential and commercial installs, service and repair of basically anything plumbing and heating related.

"Everyday can be different," answered Froese when asked what he enjoys most about the HVAC business. "The excitement of problem solving and constantly learning new things. How each system is different, which makes learning how to make it work in the most efficient way possible while having the opportunity to help people, is rewarding."

Total Mechanical & Plumbing currently has three people on staff, and offers a wide range of services, hence the name 'Total'; Installation, service and repair of your heating, cooling, plumbing, water quality, water heater (on demand, typical water heater natural gas or electric) fireplaces, indoor air quality, gas piping, heat pumps and even swimming pools.

One area Froese specifically highlighted is Efficiency Manitoba's current heat pump rebate program.

"Total Mechanical & Plumbing can help with the application process, so give us a call, text or email for more details."

Customer service and quality workmanship are key pieces of the business, and a primary focus of Froese and his team.

"Customer satisfaction and quality workmanship mean customers are more likely to become repeat customers, and building trust with credibility helps with referrals and company reputation which brings long term success," he stressed.

Froese also noted technical expertise is important in this business.

"Our customer service involves not only addressing customer concerns, but also providing clear explanations and guidance, helping customers understand their systems better and to make informed decisions."
