A number of former CFL Players were part of a fundraiser in Winkler yesterday.
The group included former Bombers Bob Cameron, Paul Bennet and Glen Scrivener who took part in a slo-pitch game versus the Winkler Fire Department.
Scrivener says he enjoys being a part of the Celebrity Slo-Pitch Challenge because it allows him a chance to hang out with former players and give back to the community.
He adds even though he grew up in Manitoba he had never been to Winkler before.
Fire Chief Garry Klassen says he was impressed with the CFL'ers professionalism and adds the whole department had fun at the event.
25 hundred dollars was raised for the Bunker Youth Ministries in Winkler.
