Hosts are being sought for the 2010 Manitoba Winter Games, and Morden is interested.
Director of Community Services Barry Elliott says this is not an official bid for the event.
He says they will receive a bid package in august and review it to see where they stand.
Elliott says he believes the town could pull this off if chosen as hosts.
He says they have tremendous volunteer support that has contributed to the success of hosting other major events such as the Scott Tournament of Hearts and World Junior Hockey.
Elliott says being named host would be a real shot in the arm for Morden.
He says it's a great way to come together as a community and there would be the obvious economic spin-offs.
