Manitoba has been recognized for its methods to prevent drunk driving.

Every three years Mothers Against Drunk Driving issues a report card.

This year Manitoba received an "A-", the highest grade ever handed out in Canada.

Doug Mowbray is the southern Manitoba representative for MADD.

He says the high grade is for legislation that no other province has in place.

It includes zero blood alcohol content for drivers under 21, or with less than 5 years experience.

Manitoba is also the only province to take your vehicle if you blow over the legal limit.

A lead researcher says Manitoba has saved over 2500 lives per year with the legislation.
