The Progressive Conservative Party of Manitoba's leadership election committee has announced further details surrounding the race that will replace former leader and Premier Heather Stefanson.

Nominations will be accepted from July 2nd through October 15th. An all candidates leadership forum will be held in Winnipeg October 30th, with the leadership convention and announcement of the winner April 26th next year.

The party’s Leadership Election Committee is overseeing the nomination process and will be guided by the rules established and ratified by Party members earlier this year. It's Chaired by Winnipeg lawyer Brad Zander.

The Committee also includes several rural Manitobans including Midland MLA Lauren Stone who was just elected to the Legislature in last year's provincial election, and R-M of Wallace-Woodworth Reeve Clayton Canart.

Manitoba residents who purchase or renew a Progressive Conservative Party membership by February 28, 2025, will be entitled to cast a ballot for the Party’s next leader.
