Carman's new deputy mayor is not afraid to seek guidance from her predecessor.

Jane Swanton has been appointed to help guide and assist Carman's new mayor.


Swanton feels the mentorship she received from the previous council has been invaluable.


89% of the voters marked down Swanton as one of their choices.


She believes this is because growing up in Carman, she is in touch with the younger generation and their grandparents.


Swanton thanks her family for being supportive, because it takes a lot of time serving on council.
