Plum Coulee's Riley Unger, who plays out of the Southwood Golf & Country Club in Winnipeg, is in a tie for fourth place heading into round two of the Manitoba Men's Amateur Golf Championship. Unger was one-under par 71 Monday at Breezy Bend and is three shots back of first round leader Ryan Pitzel of Rossmere who opened with a four-under par 68. Burke Wiebe of Southwood and Peter More of Breezy Bend are two shots off the pace. Matthew Loewen of Winkler opened with a three-over par 75 and is in a tie for 17th place. Matt Dodds of Carman was 79, Kevin Giesbrecht of Carman was 80, Michael Franz of Winkler was 83 and Andrew Wall of Winkler was 84. The low 60 and ties and those within 10 strokes of first place after today's second round qualify for the final 36 holes.
