The Altona Bisons will face the Carillon Sultans tonight in Steinbach in game one of the Manitoba Junior Baseball League's best-of-three opening round series. The Bisons, who finished the regular season schedule in fifth place with a 14-16 record, won three of five games against the Sultans this season. Altona and Carillon split a doubleheader this past Saturday in Steinbach. The Sultans took the opener 4-3 while the Bisons won the second game 14-4. The other series begins tonight at Whittier Park in Winnipeg as the St. Boniface Legionaires will meet the Interlake Blue Jays. The Elmwood Giants and Pembina Valley Orioles both have a bye to the semi-finals.
