Looking for a new smash burger spot? Moment in Thyme in Morden is the place you must check out! Conveniently located in the east end of Morden, Alex Kanski and his crew are ready to serve you this summer. 

From Altona, Kanski opened up Moment in Thyme one and a half years ago and says they've seen a lot of success, "It's been great. We've had a really good first year and look forward to many more," Alex shares with a smile, reflecting on their journey since opening.

Originally from Altona, Alex's culinary journey began humbly at the age of 14. "I started doing dishes, then moved on to cooking and have been at it ever since," he recalls. This path has led him to some impressive kitchens, including a memorable four-year stint cooking for the Winnipeg Jets. "It was a great experience" 

The community has come to associate the restaurant with one standout item: smash burgers. "We start with certified Angus beef, no fillers, just salt and pepper. It's the good stuff," Alex explains. Their commitment to quality has earned them a dedicated following.

When asked for a personal recommendation, Alex doesn't hesitate. "Definitely try our 'Lattice Bacon' burger. People think I misspelled 'lettuce,' but it's actually 'lattice,' referring to the way we weave the bacon. It covers the whole burger, ensuring a piece of bacon in every bite."

Beyond their renowned burgers, Moment in Time also offers a variety of poutines. "We do home fries as well, and our servings are generous. No one goes home hungry," Alex promises.

As summer approaches, the restaurant is gearing up for its busiest season. "We're adding an ice cream machine for milkshakes and soft ice cream, and expanding our drink menu.

Moment in Time is a place where everyone can find something to enjoy. "We're open every day except Monday, from 11:00 AM, and Sundays from noon, until 8:00 PM," Alex notes. It's the perfect spot for a family meal or a casual lunch with friends.
