As part of Co-op Week members of the Winkler-Morden Co-op are receiving their equity cheques.

General Manager George Klassen says with the strong year, they were able to give back over $2 million to members.

This is up about $200,000 from the previous year.

Klassen says half of their sales are in petroleum, while 30% are in the food division.

The remaining 20% is made up of sales in the agriculture, clothing, appliances, and computer divisions.

Klassen says they had great sales in both communities this past year.

He notes the renovations to the Winkler food store helped increase that department's sales.
