R.M. of Morris Reeve Scott Siemens joined CFAM Radio 950 Morning Show Host Chris Sumner Thursday morning for another Reeve on the Radio. The agenda included an update on work at Rosenort's Prairie Heart Development, Lowe Farm solid waste collection changes and the surprising news Provincial Road 205 is on the Province's slate of Summer construction projects.

"Last week our C.A.O. informed me that MTI (Manitoba Transportation and Infrastructure) has, I understand, committed to updating Highway 205 from Rosenort east to the 75 highway," explained Siemens. "This will involve in repaving the lanes, and I understand, paved shoulders as well, and then also clay capping the slopes for future wave action and flood proofing potential."

Meanwhile, Siemens stressed Council is certainly aware roads throughout the municipality have taken a bit of a beating this Spring with the weather we've had so far.

"We've definitely noted our municipal roads have taken a beating," said Siemens. "Spring planting commenced pretty quick, and then we had the nice heavy rain shower which exposed potholes. Our public works (staff) are out there as hard as they can, as fast as they can, subject to weather again. And also provincial highways, we definitely know there are other highways in our R.M. that in some cases are in dire need of upkeep, and we will continue to push and comment as as much as we can."
