Toromont Cat has unveiled one of the largest 4 wheel drive tractors available on the North American market.


The Challenger MT 900B series can be outfitted with up to a 570 horsepower engine.


Gil St. Hilaire is the general manager of the Toromont Cat outlet in Elie.


He feels there's still a market for this size of tractor, noting producers are demanding more powerful machines all the time.


St. Hilaire notes implements continue to grow in size so the tractors pulling them must grow as well.


Manufacturing of the new 900 series will begin in the second quarter of 2007.
