The Manitoba Moose will not offer a new contract to Mike Keane. In his fifth season as Moose captain in 2009-2010, Keane, 43, appeared in 75 games where he scored nine goals and 22 assists for 31 points. Back in 2006-07, he was the recipient of the American Hockey League's Fred T. Hunt Award for sportsmanship, determination, and dedication to the game of hockey. In his previous 22 seasons, Keane won three Stanley Cups (Montreal ‘93, Colorado ’96, Dallas ’99) and played in 1,230 NHL games where he scored 171 goals.
