Emerson M.L.A. Jack Penner says the opposition was only doing job when it stalled proceedings in the legislature last spring.

He says the legislature would have proceeded on schedule had the Doer government called a public inquiry into the Crocus Fund.

Premier Gary Doer says the opposition killed the spirit of cooperation by doing that.

As a result, the province will not consult the opposition on setting the agenda for fall session of the legislature.

Penner says that move could prove fatal for the Doer government.

He says the government is going to ramrod things into place and Manitobans have the right to know this and should be concerned.

Penner says it appears Premier Doer wants to take away the opposition's role in the democratic process just to get his way.
