The labour day weekend was a relatively quiet one for the Morden Police Service.

Police Chief Brad Neduzak says they're pleased with how it unfolded with only a few minor calls like noise complaints.

Meanwhile, the Morden and Winkler Police Services ran two checkstops Sunday night.

Neduzak says they stopped just over two hundred vehicles.

He says from that they had a number of charges under the Highway Traffic Act and liquor related offenses include three impaired drivers.

Neduzak says they ran the checkstop Sunday instead of Saturday because the traffic volume is actually higher that night.

He says factors like the triple bill playing at the drive-in added to that.
