Nomination papers are available for Altona residents to put forward people they think deserve recognition.

Papers for Citizen of the Year are available at the Co-op Food Store, Altona IGA, and the Chamber of Commerce Office.

Chamber Manager Susan Yakabowich says they are looking for someone who has achieved personal and professional goals throughout their years and who has made an impact on the community.

Yakabowich encourages us to nominate anyone we see fit.

She says through all the hard work individuals have done in the community recognition is key.

The award will be handed out during an awards banquet in March.
