Wednesday morning on CFAM Radio 950 brought another In the Mayor's Chair conversation, this time around with Altona Mayor Harv Schroeder.

Morning Show Co-Host Chris Sumner noted to the Mayor it would be nice see a little more sunshine and a little more heat, but with that said, the Altona Aquatic Center opened as scheduled this past weekend.

"I'm happy to announce the Altona Aquatic Center opened its doors on Saturday, so if you missed the free swim on opening day, don't worry, because there will be upcoming free swims, themed days and special events," shared the Mayor. "Please check our website www.altona.ca and the Altona Aquatic Center Facebook page."

The Mayor also highlighted several upcoming events including the season opening at Gallery in the Park Friday, June 7th and the upcoming Memory Garden Service on Monday June 10th.

"Looking ahead, don't forget to keep an eye out for details about out Canada Day event on July 1st," said Schroeder. "We're planning some fantastic celebrations that you won't want to miss."

And with grad season here, and W.C. Miller Collegiate students looking forward to that special day, he had this message for them.

"I wanted to take a moment to congratulate the class of 2024. Best of luck with your exams, upcoming graduation events and all of your future endeavors."
